Unfortunately what you are seeing, for those of you not familiar with this community is a deep case of denial. Davis fancies itself on being an open and progressive community, but unfortunately because Davis thinks of itself in those terms, there is a reluctance to admit when there are serious problems.
There is also a problem with the police in this town, but that’s another book all together.

Fortunately we’ve had no shootings in Davis by the police that seem unjustified. However, a perusal of this site will show a considerable problem with the police elsewhere.
