  1. wondering

Was Delaine Eastin Supt of Public Instruction at the time Murphy was Supt? At the time Karamatsu and Marguerite Montgomery were built? When Harper was built? When Tahir Ahad was employed by DJUSD? Just trying to get some perspective…

Delaine served from 1995 until the end of 2002. That would have meant there was a brief three year overlay of their services, by the end of 2002, it was likely uncertain how things were progressing. Montgomery’s missed deadline for instance came six months after she left office in 2003. Ahad was employed but even Don Saylor didn’t have a good idea of what he was doing. The facilities were passed for Montgomery and Harper during this time, but the worst offenses had yet to occur.
