The Vanguard provides the community of Davis and the County of Yolo with news and commentary, in addition to a place where local residents can discuss the issues of the day.
We have traditionally done so on a shoestring budget, but as the Vanguard has grown in the last couple of years, so too have its obligations.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely heavily on the donations of our readers to pay the bills and to continue to grow and expand. Last year, we raised an amazing 35,000 dollars – great news for an organization of our size, however, we also spent about as much.
To help us continue to provide the latest news and commentary in Davis and Yolo County we need your help. Please join us tonight at Lamppost Pizza at 1260 Lake Blve in the Westlake Shopping Center from 5:30 to 8:30 for pizza and wine. The cost is just $25 a person.
