We All Belong: Safe and Welcoming Schools for All

Davis Schools Community Forum

Brunelle Theatre, Davis Senior High School

Monday, January 23, 6:30-8:00 pm

Over the last month, the Davis Joint Unified School District has communicated with parents, staff and the community our commitment to ensuring that school remains a safe place for all students and families, regardless of their immigration status, race, color, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, age, religion, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or gender expression.  In order to reaffirm our values, DJUSD is crafting a resolution for adoption at the Board of Education meeting scheduled for February 2.  In addition to the variety of ways we have been gathering input (community events, visiting school sites, and learning from your phone calls and emails as part of our usual process to maintain a positive school climate) we would like to invite you to attend a DJUSD-led community forum about safe schools to share your experience and perspectives.  To read recent communications from our Superintendent on this topic,  visit www.djusd.net and click on Superintendent Communication.

Spanish interpretation will be available at the event.
