A Yolo County Superior Court judge approved a request to move an unhoused man’s probation meetings from Sacramento to Yolo County due to transportation barriers, while still requiring him to serve 30 days in county jail for his violation.
A defense attorney requested a judge to recall an outstanding bench warrant for a man who was deported while serving jail time, but the judge denied the request due to the age of the case and procedural limits on the court’s authority.

The court denied the defense’s request to overturn the $5,000 bail and release the unhoused man on supervised own recognizance, instead upholding the bail and setting a court date for June 6.
A 19-year-old man accused of the Davis Picnic Day shooting had his bail increased to $300,000 and was remanded into custody, with additional conditions on release that he not associate with known gang members and that he be subject to personal and electronic searches for firearms and ammunition.
